Train Day!

w/Rob Fair 6-8:15pm 2.25 hrs.

Lots of troubleshooting and...

Working mostly at the workbench tonight.

We tried to simulate what we want to do on the layout.
We failed miserably. Back to the drawing board.

To salvage the night, we decided to mount some switches
to the facia which will turn on/off the tracks in WeGo Yard.

Rob finished installing the first toggle switch.

Working on the second toggle switch installation.

DONE!

These two switches will be used to power the two tracks in
WeGo Yard - Tracks 2 (left) & 3 (right).

Working under the layout...

Getting the light ready for under the layout work.

Trying to figure out where the feeder wires are located from
below the layout (very difficult to say the least).

I thought I figured it out...

...but when I wired them according...

...to my plan...

...after splicing the wires...

...and connecting to toggle...

...I tried switching the toggles and nothing happened!
UGH!

Back to the drawing board tomorrow.

Actually, Jan said she'd help me out tomorrow.

That will be good! 

I also think this will be a first time she has helped me on the RR.

I came up with a different plan to figure out how to ID the feeder wire locations...

Getting my tools ready to go under the layout...
