Finally getting some time to play trains...

Running Sequence Train 13 Metra Commuter Train 1C
EB Geneva to Chicago Terminal

This train originates at the West Chicago Yard
Track 3 heads west to Geneva Station.

We're now heading back east to Chicago Terminal

Making our approach to Chicago Terminal
We'll take a crossover and head into the Terminal Yard

Metra Commuter Train 1C arrives CT Track 3.

Here's a look at the train from the other end.

Since the lights were on in
the terminal...

...I took some pics on the
other side...

...where the traffic lights...

...were on display.

I probably should've taken
a video to capture the moment.

I cut a gap in the rails so I can leave the locomotive
attached to the train before servicing.

consist worksheet)

I ran this train from Central Control Tower.
My time OTJ was 32 minutes.

NEW PROJECT this week!
Adding a new transformer light.

This shows the old light still attached, with the new
light sitting in its place.

This picture shows the same thing on the other side.

First step: Drill out the hole using 5/8 drill bit.

Same thing on the other side.

My handy dandy tool. This drill belonged to my
wife, Jan's dad, Henry Meyer.

What the wiring looks like underneath.

That took about 1 hour.

New light on display on one side...

...and the other side.

Now for another project update...

I removed the clipboards, trimmed the labels and
reattached them to the panel.

New look with transformer light on.

That little project took about 18 minutes.

I have more time! Let's run Sequence Train 15.
Metra Commuter Train 1D WB CT to Geneva.

Now I will run Sequence Train 16 which is the same
train running EB from Geneva to Chicago Terminal
