Another week of trains...
Setting up the tape for painting the gutters. |
Finished painting the sidewalks and gutters. |
Tape removed and ready to reinstall the buildings. |
Buildings reinstalled and ready for more details. |
Close up of the wrap around sidewalk. Hardly anyone will see this part since it's on the backside of the building away from viewing. |
Same thing with this sidewalk on the other warehouse building. No one will notice the sidewalk isn't large enough for the stupe. |

Adding a bit of detail to the Industrial Park...
Parked cars, trailers at the dock are just a couple of details added. |
I like the distant in the dark. Really makes the bill board stand out. |
Employee parking. Looks like everyone made it to work today. There's even a FedEx delivery van Ready to GO! |
Yes, the FedEx delivery van is to proper scale. The others are a bit too big.
After visiting the Crockett family in Chicago, I did one little project on the RR
I'm working on the details around the warehouse buildings on the Industrial Park extension. I painted the base of the mulch bed before I add the mulch and plant some bushes for landscaping. |

Just some cleanup from operations on Thursday.
On Thursday we left Train B515C5D on the main line. Today, I ran another lap and put the train in Proviso Yard UP. |
The last part of the train stayed on the incoming Track 1 show by the arrow. |
The first part of the train was backed up into Track 2 as shown by the other arrow. |
Now it's time for paperwork. I'll take these papers upstairs and enter them into the computer. |
Here we are upstairs at the computer doing my data entry. |
And later today I had a very special guest...
Ida Zielke helping me at the workbench
Length: 00:00:25 sec.
More of Ida helping me power up the steam engine
Length: 00:00:21 sec.
I showed Ida what I have been working on... She was interested and started playing with the cars on location. |
Engineer Ida looks far off to Elmhurst to see her train waiting on Elmhurst station. |
Finally we reach our destination - Geneva Station. We left Chicago Terminal 23 minutes prior and made every stop except Kedzie Avenue. |
Ida didn't have enough energy for the return trip to Chicago so
I'll need to capture another crew for that assignment.
Thanks for teaching Ida that electrical!!!!!
