Train Day!

with Rob Fair and Jordan Osborn

6pm-8pm 2 hrs.

Rob Fair brought his "hammer" drill to push down a screw top into the surface.

Jordan Osborn greets our arrivals.

Rob is installing a sidewalk in front of the warehouse.

More sidewalk construction.

The new steam engine didn't run as well tonight.
Rob said he would look at the wire and try to protect it with black electrical tape.

After installing the sidewalk, Rob Fair glued it down and now we wait for the weights.

Actually this picture was taken first thing Tuesday morning.

And here's a sample of the homemade fence I will try to build tonight.

Tonight I'm putting the privacy fences together for the Industrial Park Warehouse.
Let's call this section A.

These two sections will be used as well.
Sections B & C.

And the final section is section D.

Sections A, B, & C, fit around the peninsula on the left park of the parking lot.
Section D will be the long section in the middle of the picture.

Tomorrow I will paint and try to install the sections and see what it looks like...more to come.

More progress on the fence...take a look:

Cutting out the sections to make posts from existing vertical boards.

Time to paint.
I used a Dark Wood Finish stain on the right.

Staining the front of the fence.

Laying out the sections where they will be installed.

I installed three of the four.
The 4th sections needs a little more work.
I'll do that tomorrow.

Finished the fence and the sidewalk. Even put in some mulch.

Painting the sidewalk a concrete color (see bottle on right).
Also smashed some dried flowers to use as mulch.

Finished the fences around the perimeter of the warehouse parking lot.

More work on fences. This time at the office building.

I decided to use the guard rail fences on the perimeter of the office building.
First, I had to paint the gray plastic a metal silver.

Next, I had to mark the spots where I will drill out the holes.

Then I drilled out the holes to mount the fence.

Installed the fence and there you have it.

After finishing installing the fence, I added one more feature.

The Metra engine is getting dusty waiting for decoder installation.
