Rob Fair working on the new steam engine from Rob Linke. He got it running now needs to clean the wheels, fix the truck connectors and reattach the ground wire from the tender to the locomotive. |
Jordan Osborn found his A-Team van. Simple pleasures give us great joy! |

A "happy" Jordan. |
A "Not so happy" Jordan. |
I have most of my station signs posted. Now I've included my farthest out station: Harvard |
I'm using the wood as a support while the glue dries to the wall. Tomorrow I'll remove the wood and take a final picture. |
My neighbor, Bob Bendeich, who also knows Rob, stopped by tonight for a visit. |

As promised, here's the MP marker for Harvard station in place. |

More wheel cleaning on the 2-8-8-2 #2197 |
Special Guest: James Crockett James said the layout is really coming together. Looking better each time he visits. Not sure what the tongue is all about, but I don't think it's a bad thing. |

Tom Clark called me just as I started working on the RR.
He asked me to send him a picture so I sent him these panoramic videos
Powder River Basin to Melrose Park
Length: 00:00:15 sec.
Proviso Yard
Length: 00:00:06 sec.
My first project of the day is to finish securing this room addition to the main building. |
There you go. All set. |
My next project is to extend the tracks at the Industrial Park. Why you ask? Because I need the extra space for pushing cars back into the other industries. |
Temporarily securing the posts until I make sure all is level and ready to be permanent. |
Level shows it's within the limits. |
Another view of capturing the level of the track bed. |
I also had to make sure it was level this way too. |
Now to install the guard plate so the cars don't accidently roll off the layout. |
There you go. All finished. I will paint the bottom legs so it will blend in with the top guard plate. (Note all the tools needed for the job) |

Just a little more work on the Industrial Park extension...
I've expanded the section to make room for perimeter parking and building access. |
I will be doing the same thing to the other side. That building also has access to the west end that needs clearance for trucks to park at the docks located on that side.
I'll show you more in next week's post.
