1. Finish ballasting at California Avenue

2. Purchase electrical sub-station for California Avenue

3. Finish placing out-buildings at California Avenue

Jordan stopped by for a few minutes today.

I also did some work on the guard station at California Avenue.

30 mins. Jordan

1 hour for me

Finished placing black ballast on second track at California Ave.

Jordan Osborn says, "Hey".

Also finished off the mainline ballast at the California Avenue
crossover.

Goal #1 Complete.
I didn't think I'd accomplish this goal so quickly this week.

After Jordan left for the day, I began Goal #2.
I will begin to put the guard station in place for California Avenue.
First I cut out all the parts.

Next I put in window frames and doors with corresponding windows. 

Finally, I secure the sides and roof together for a finished structure.
I still need to get the gates up and will weather the buildings.

Train Day!

w/Rob Fair and Jordan Osborn.
Rob Fair: 6-8pm 2 hrs.
Jordan Osborn: 6:15-7:30pm 1.25 hrs.

Slow start but finished strong.
Did more than I thought we'd do...

We started watching a video from Jerry Richards about
North American steam engines.

Now we get to work on making our "mistakes" into opportunities.
Here Rob is opening the space to be used to store the throttle.

Look what I picked up at the UPS Store today:

Digitrax repaired the cable, crimper and the UP5.

Jordan stopped by for a few minutes.
After this picture we decided to celebrate his birthday
and went out for lunch at Portillo's.

I went back to work and finished installing the UP5.
First mark where the holes will be drilled.

Next, drill the holes.

Followed by cutting out the square.

Finally, mount the panel on the fascia and the UP5.
