Day 1
Leaving for Meyer Sibling Reunion Tucson AZ

Upon arrival at Jeff & Michelle's home we were
amazed at the beauty of this Bougainvillea plant with
brilliant red flowers.

Jeff having a snack.

Michelle lounging.

During a walk in the neighborhood
we saw this plant which reminded
us of Ben's book called "The Plant"

Jeff & Jan reconnecting.

Day 2

Jan & Jeff begin our first hike at the Finger Rock Trailhead

Jan & Curt at the same location.

On our way...

Interesting how this saquaro
cactus grows out of the rock.

Right in the middle of this photo
is the Finger Rock.

I zoomed in to get a better look.

Jeff checks back to make sure
everything is a.o.k.

A look back to the valley where lays Tucson AZ

A beautiful yellow wild flower

Getting closer to Finger Rock.

Break time!

This is as close was we'll get
to Finger Rock

Heading back.

Another view of Tucson in
the valley

How could this not catch
our attention?

Look closely for the bird in this photo

Back at Jeff & Michelle's home more guests arrive.
This is Susan, the matriarch of the Meyer family.

Enjoying a meal together.

Day 4

Jeff & Michelle's front yard.
Today we're hiking in Catalina State Park

We've arrived and ready to hike!

Cool wild flowers

A beautiful desert scene

Heading down the trail

Five years ago this section
was burned badly by a wild fire

You can still see some plants that haven't come back

I wasn't so sure I would capture this picture, but
I did take a picture of a fast moving lizard

Wild flowers starting to bloom

We saw most of these, but not all of these wild flowers

A very helpful hiker took this group photo.

 Day 6
Leaving Tucson, arriving Chicago from Meyer Sibling Reunion

The control tower at Tucson International Airport

I got a window seat on our return trip home.

Being near the wing didn't keep me from taking
too many pictures.

Some parting shots of our trip to Tucson AZ

Another picture of the control tower with
mountains in the background.

The mountains minus the control tower :)

In the air...

A dry deserted lake

Approaching Chicago O'Hare

We've landed.

Time to taxi to our gate

Going over I-190 which gets cars to O'Hare airport

Getting close to seeing Ben & Katie who will
be picking us up on our way home again.

That's it!

No more photos.
