w/Rob Fair (6-7:30pm 1.5 hrs.)
Rob Fair started the night testing bulbs.

What's on your workbench this week?

We started drilling holes and soldering for downtown Chicago lights.

There it goes...

One last look.

Installing the traffic signals.

I like the way this turned out.

I'm anxious to see them lit up.

Another set at Clinton and Adams.

This is the old Route 66 between Canal and Clinton.

Another view.

Another pic of the front of Union Station - Canal Street.

Two pics before heading to West Chicago...

...to see Big Boy 4014 a 4-8-8-4 Steam Engine built 1941.
Here's the crew I shared the experience with on Saturday morning this day in history.
l. to r. Faith's neighbor, Faith Fair, Rob Fair, Jordan Osborn, LJ Havron, Richard Havron, Gizette Havron.

After the event was complete the officials said the count was 45,000 guests.
I was one of those.

A bird's eye view of the lone diesel that also accompanied BIG BOY cross country.

Lots of people both sides of the steam engine.

Placard reads American Locomotive Company
I couldn't make it out, but I think the date is November 1941.

That's Rob Fair in the foreground taking a picture.

A view from the bridge.
And finally the last two pictures with Mabel Zielke
Look closely and you can see Mabel in this picture.

Yep, there she is again :)
