Train Day!

w/Rob Fair

6-8pm 2 hrs.

Lots of little things getting done tonight...

Rob made some parking lot bumpers for me out
of pieces of rail. I like it!

Working on a section of W. Washington Street
where we've had some trains traverse with some difficulty.

Rob had to file down the plastic on the curve.

The test cars passed over with flying colors.
Great work, Rob!

Let's head down the line and work on the RIP building.
Rob will reinforce one of the smoke stakes and permanently
install both.

I will prepare the painting area with tape.

Rob will finish off the tape job with a paint job.

Moving a little more down the line.
Rob and I discussed how we would prepare the plat-
forms at Winfield/Berkeley stations.

And even a bit further down the line.
We are adjusting the angle of Marion Street.

This will allow the street to cross the RR at a more
realistic angle.

I had a few minutes (30 to be exact) to get things going on the RR...

First thing is to take the weight off the sidewalk.

Here you go. Now I will need to add some rail fans
watching the diamonds at "J" Tower.

Now it's time to lay the brick street of Marion Street
in Oak Park.

One side finished.

Both sides finished.

Side walks added at both ends.

And look what came in the mail today.
It's the model I will kitbash for the Oak Park Marion St. Station.

This is the box it came in which was on our porch.
