Train Day!

Before I forget, let's cut out the calendar picture of
Horseshoe Curve in Pennsylvania which Rob models
on his home layout

Back at the workbench.
Tonight we're going to trouble-shoot why the two
CNW C40-8s don't run so well side by side.

After taking off the shell we saw the drive shaft
had come out...AGAIN! UGH!

Rob figured out how to make the drive shaft more
snug so we hopefully have fixed the problem of 
the drive shaft falling out so easily

Using a Transformer with wires attached to the DC Track Power

We are checking the wheel conductivity

I made the "eye hooks" for the ends of the power
sub station. Getting ready to attach the wires.

Let's start stringing the wires on the Transformer Towers

I'll start by looping the wire half way through the
eye hooks at the end of the sub-station.

Here's what I did today...

BEFORE
I landscape the area under the Transmission Towers...

First I need to tuck away the exposed switch wires.

Then I was distracted by an old unfinished project...
So I completed this one. It is making space in a cubby
for the clip boards used for operations.

Back to landscaping. Next step: paint the base brown

Add ground foam - mixed solution.

AFTER
I landscaped under the Transmission Towers.
