Another case where my guests help me with the RR.
Joe & Jack suggested I add a bit more wire through the switch.
Let's try it and see if it works.

Train Day!

w/Rob Fair and Jordan Osborn

6-8pm 2 hrs.

Getting our night started with some chit chat.

Rob Fair is going to attempt to fix the Intermodal crossover tonight.
Trying to glue the stock rail connector.

Meanwhile, Jordan and I will be at Central Control Tower.
A couple of things:
1.) Start learning JMRI, and
2.) Get Train Simulator up and running.

Running into some problems.
The glue is not holding the rail to the throw.

Since I need to switch out the #6 switches for Crossover 3,
Rob will take one of those and replace the broken one at the intermodal location.

Instead of using left hand switches (which is the same as crossover #4)
I'm going to switch these out for #6 right hand switches.
This will allow more operations possibilities.

Here's the replacement #6 switch installed from
previous location - Crossover #3.

This is the damaged #6 switch. See the little eye pin?
It is on the far rail but not on the near rail.
It broke off - cheap!

Rob will finish the night by installing the manual ground throws.

Another fun night.

Jordan and I learned some things on JMRI.

However, we failed to get Train Simulator up and running.

We will tackle that project another day/evening.

As I was at work today, Jan was cleaning up more water in the basement.

I finished putting Mixed Freight Train 5D into CNW Proviso Yard tracks 2 & 3.

this is Train Order #3 complete.

It took a few days to finish up this operation.
It started on Friday and ended on Wednesday.
Six days total.

Now to finish the paperwork.
