Milt, I'm working for you tonight. We had very bad outcomes from last night's operations.
We actually had to remove 3 cars that were not performing well.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Here's what happened today.
Lots of activity and many family members visit the train room.

James started the Thanksgiving visits with an explanation of operations, which he took in and explained to me later. Here he gets very up close and personal!

Here is James explaining the Train Order Board.

Yep, I need to write in the Engineers and Conductors for these trains.

I love when James has a good laugh. We always laugh when we're together.
He thinks I'm silly. I agree.

After James, the kids came down to work on the Brio layout.
Henry adds his engineering skills in building the upper level tracks.

All hands on deck!
Ida was eager to have a train meeting.
See video below...

As the others work on the Brio layout, Ida gets ready for the train meeting.

Henry takes over the conductor role. Ida is the engineer for the 1960s Train 3A. Charlie is next in line.

Connecting the power to the train under the conductor's watchful eye.

Back to work...

The mirror incident...
Duration: 00:00:33 sec.

I finally parked Train 3A 1960s train in Proviso Yard CNW Track 1.
This is the train we ran during the Thanksgiving train running session with my grandkids.

Now it's time to start on the Oak Park Marion Street Station.
The first thing I need to do is fix the roof joints.

Connecting the roof pieces together with alligator clips and some super glue.

Then I drilled a whole for the electric wires that will be used to light up the station LED lights.

See if you can find the hole I just drilled.
All the LED light wires will run through that hole to the bottom of the layout where it will be attached to the power wires to light the station lights.

Working on the lights at the Oak Park Marion St./Lombard station

I've pulled some wire from under the layout through the conduit and to the station platform

The lights I plan to use already have a resistor in place and therefore can take up to 12V - 18V.

Here are the lights I plan to use at the elevated Oak Park/Lombard station.

Trying to figure out where to mount the lights...

I set up a test light to see the affect of the lighting at the station.
What do you think?
