Train Day!
With Rob Fair and Jordan Osborn
6-7:30pm 1.5 hrs.
Rob Fair and I will work on the two remaining lights that we didn't finish last Monday.
First, we pulled the wires out and rewired the connections.

Jordan Osborn would be our watchful eye from the top as Rob and I worked under the table all night.

Here we are soldering under the table.
We had to re-solder two connections that we pulled down during construction.
Gee Whiz!

And finally, the finished product.
All nine lights working and in production.

Train Day!
w/Jordan Osborn 4-5pm 1 hr.
Jordan Osborn helped with applying super-glue to wall side.

Here are the four wall sides plus the support walls.
Prototype picture shows the walls in location.

Erecting the walls and putting bracing in place so the glue will have time to set.

Weights added so glue will set with walls in place.

Another view from the bird's eye.

Last view from N. Clinton Ave.ue.

Saturday, May 11, 2019

I may be heading to Chicago on Monday to pick up Jan, so I changed Train Day from Monday to Saturday. Rob and Jordan will kind enough to make the change.
Train Day!
6-7pm Jordan 1 hr.
6-8:15pm Rob 2.25 hrs.
Rob Fair making sure the holes are properly labeled for drilling into the Plexi-glass.

Jordan Osborn would prove to be a great resource today.

Drilling the mounting holes in the plexi-glass.

Plexi-glass installed.

You can tell I moved as I took this photo.
It's ok because you can still make out the newly installed plexiglass protector.

We also installed a plexiglass piece to protect the station and crossing gates at Melrose Park.

Same location different perspective.
This is looking down 19th street, Melrose Park, IL

Now, changing gears, to streets and sidewalks above Chicago Terminal in Chicago downtown.

Using tile grout for adhesive.

Spreading it out...

Super glue the middle street supports.

One last gear change.
Working on the mechanical building at Chicago North 302 S. Clinton St.
