Trains today.

Jordan Osborn and Josh Jones came over from 4:30-5:30pm this afternoon.

We ran trains tonight to test the mainline.
We still have work to do!
Dang!
This train derailed several times at this point.
We'll spend more time troubleshooting tomorrow afternoon.

 Not sure why these Kato SD38-2s are being so sensitive to elevation changes.

But they are!

Here's the other train we ran.
It's a Unit Coal Train 29 cars led by two C40-8s.
Both trains ran EB on Tracks 1 and 2 respectively.
We did post the entries in our Dispatcher's Log.

Train Day!
Ed Nelson, Jordan Osborn and I worked today on Track Maintenance.
It's kinda strange how everything was running fine without the ballast.
Once we ballasted, we're having more problems than we did before the ballast.

The UP EB Unit Coal Train passes by first, followed by the CNW EB mixed freight.
The CNW SD40-2 derails where all the other engines derailed tonight.
Very frustrating...to say the least.

Yes, we had some activity today.

I thought I might finish off the Elgin Joliet & Eastern diamond track at West Chicago.

I was going to extend this track, but other plans come up instead...

 Jordan Osborn stopped by and we ran some test trains over the troubled area by the camera.
