TRAIN DAY!

Here's what we accomplished...

Ed Nelson would work with Dean Hatzis on the California Metra/ West Chicago Yards.
We had to take out the slip switch to make room for the car repair shop.

Ed Nelson and Dean Hatzis preparing for major track work.

Jordan Osborn and I would work on Running Test Trains.
Jordan: Engineer; Curt: Conductor

Carlos Baez would continue working tirelessly on reconnecting the feeder/bus wires to the two power districts. I'll have some closeups of his work in upcoming frames.

Wanted to get an overall view of railroad workers.

Length: 21s
I wanted to capture some of the attention to detail in this video.
It wasn't quite what I was looking for, but the guys really take their job seriously.

Dean Hatzis and Ed Nelson working the trackwork.

 Another view.

In the meantime, Carlos Baez checks out the success of his electrical work.

Terminal blocks for the bus line.

Carlos soldered the connectors to perfection.
This will serve the SouthWest Power District as shown.

Back at the Car Repair Shop...making progress.
Note the slip switch has been removed, but not in place...yet.

 UP7510 waiting for clearance.

Carlos Baez moving down the line.
Now working on the NE Power District.

Making sure everything is lined up.

One last view of the work Ed & Dean did at the California/West Chicago Yard
More to come next week...

What's on your workbench this week?
Solder, Connectors, dated box car. Added transformer for testing electronics.
Not a whole lot of progress from last week at the inspection station.
We still have two cars on the test track waiting for their test run.
Hopefully Jordan and I can run them Friday as I'm off from work that day.

We'll see...

Jordan stopped by and we ran some test trains.
We'll update the database soon.
Check out this 25 car length test train.
Jordan thought you might be interested, so I took the bird's eye view.
