New Project at the Workbench...

| And now, to figure out how to remove the shell. |

| Let me check the manual and see if there's some instructions on how to do that. |

| Yep! There was a box that told me how to do that. After doing that, I found this project is going to be WAY more complicated than I thought. None of the light wires were connected so those all need to be reconnected. UGH! |

| So I took a look at my new purchase... It has some very small details that I'll put on sometime this week. |

Rob Fair is sick today.
Jordan went home early.
Marcus stopped by and we chatted in the kitchen.

| I contacted Athearn product support this morning and they sent me this picture of the motherboard with schematic of how the wiring should be done. Wow! That was fast! |
I'm anxious to get started again on this project so I can clear the workbench one more time.

| I'm going to bring the loco "guts" to Josiah's tomorrow and see if I can finish the decoder install then. |

| After the ops session we went downstairs to Josiah's makeshift workbench to solder up wires - motor, track & lights - on my UP SD60M #6284. |

Working at the workbench on the UP SD60M #6284 lighting...

| I'm going to detach the middle wires from the mother- board today. |
 |
| I want to find out why the one ditch light doesn't work |
 |
| The front headlight works and the right ditch light works. |
 |
| The rear lights are fine. |
 |
| I've begun the journey. I've detached and cut the ends. |
 |
| I'm using the wire cutter tool to keep the wires separated from each other |
 |
| Always lots of tools to use when working on any project |
 |
| That project took about 48 minutes and about 12 minutes more before I turned on the system. |
