Train Day!
w/Jordan Osborn 6-7:15pm 1.25 hrs.
Marcus Thorsen 6:30-7pm 30 mins.

Jordan & Marcus arrive at the scene.
Let's get this show started!

Marcus "signs" the back of his artwork.
It says, "If you are reading this you destroyed my work."

Jordan checks out the gift his cousin, Jon, bought
from a garage sale thinking of me. How nice!

Adding some greenery to the new wall scene.

Up early...

Painting the base at the water tower

Adding glue

Spreading out the glue

Adding grass

Finally, adding the foliage
I'm deciding if I should add a walk to the entrance?

Trying to figure out where to to put the manufacturing plant...

I think this will be the best location to justify the
employee entrance and the truck entrance

Working on New Project - manufacturing plant placement at the Industrial Park

Making the pattern for the "asphalt"

Another wider angled view

I still need to make some minor adjustments to the pattern

Pattern is ready for cutting out the "asphalt"

Here's what it looks like after I remove the pattern

Placing the pattern on the "asphalt"

Tracing the pattern.
Next step will be to cut this out.

Putting the cut "asphalt" in place

Temporary placement of the manufacturing plant

Gluing down the "asphalt" and waiting for the glue
to set.

SPECIAL GUESTS

Jeff & Susan Humm came over tonight to play
some cards. They asked to see the trains.

I accidently hit the "Moon" setting.

This final shot is a "Portrait" setting.
I like the background is blurring but the main subjects
are crystal clear.

Hey Jeff, is that a smile or a smirk?

Glue set overnight so now I can remove the weights

Putting the manufacturing plant in place.

This next section highlights what I bought at a garage sale in Elburn IL today

CNW pencils & pens & key chain - thrown in for free

Also for free were two CNW booklets

A switch list on the left and a map of yards and drop
off points along the CNW routes

Now for the fun part!
A CNW GP15-1 #4400 Genesis Athrean

EMD SD40-2 CNW #6910 Broadway Limited Paragon2

An Atlas box car, Athearn CNW refer car, and
a Walthers Mainline CNW covered hopper

Finally, a Walthers GoldLine piggy-back 85' flat car

Four Scale Model Coal hoppers

$20 a piece, but I got them a
lot cheaper

The two locomotives I purchased now on the layout.
I tested them out and they worked great.

To see them in action...
