Here's what we did...

Rob is finishing moving the coal cars from the East Yard to the West Yard. |

Moving the last three cars for the final move. |
![]() |
As we're working Marcus joins the crew. |
![]() |
Marcus gets to work and starts trimming the walls he made using the patterns we made last week |
![]() |
There you go. |
![]() |
Meanwhile... Rob begins work on a wall that is really out of place... |

This is the BEFORE picture (see below for the AFTER picture) |
![]() |
Doing the research before the actual work begins |
![]() |
Removing the signage which we will return to place after the work is finished. |
![]() |
Meanwhile... back working with Marcus... We have fitted the walls in place |
![]() |
I will use this picture next week to make sure we put these walls back in the same place after Marcus paints these walls to match those close by |
![]() |
After Rob and I finished running the Unit Coal Train 2A-P5-8 he returns the power back to the CNW Engine Facility |

This is the AFTER photo finishing the straightening of the wall. It still looks a bit "off". I will wait until we decide if/when it needs more work. |

Let's build the modern water tower...
![]() |
Getting everything ready in the dining room... |
![]() |
...then I moved everything in the kitchen so I could work with my wife, Jan, as she worked on the laptop on the other side of the table... HEY, WAIT, Where's the water tower? |
![]() |
There it is! What do you think? You like? I do. |
I had trouble with the decals.
I don't do well with them.
They came off the tagboard in pieces.
I destroyed the "Fox River" decal so I will try to use the "Industrial Park" decal and try again.
I hope it works.

Working on the RR especially the Industrial Park Water Tower
![]() |
Jim Davidson from yesterday's train session at Tom Stover's told me to spray the decal with a sealant. |
![]() |
I also wanted to add a light to the water tower. |
![]() |
Drilling out the hole for the light and the base |
![]() |
I put a piece of shrink wrap to hold the lamp in place. |
![]() |
Here's what it will look like when lit. |
![]() |
Now it's time to add the decal. I sure hope this works. |
![]() |
I brought a tray of water to soak the decal... |
![]() |
...for 10 seconds... |
![]() |
...then let it sit for 1 minute. |
![]() |
The decal didn't stay in one piece. I had to put it together in three separate pieces. UGH! |
![]() |
Don't look too close. I did a very bad job! |
I am not a very good decal artist.
I should spend some time with Jim and get some lessons.
