Week 216

Sunday, September 16, 2018

Worked a little bit - .5 hrs. on the RR today.
In preparation for tomorrow's train day, I clamped the top overhead bridge to the supports (see clothes pins).
Tomorrow we'll attach the braces you see in the middle of the road between the street lamps to support the overhead bridge.
Section 1 will be complete.

Train Day!
With Rob Fair 6-7:30pm (1.5)

I was really pleased with what we accomplished tonight!

Check this out...
Rob Fair making sure the bridge is level.

We attached the supporting brackets.

Here you can see them all set and ready for the bridge to be placed on top.

Super gluing the supports.

More super glue...

Last bit of Super Glue before we put the bridge in place.

Bridge in place, now we're putting up the "wings".

Rob Fair is drilling the support rods for the east wing.

The support rods are in place.
Next week we'll glue on the "H" beams and get ready to install the east wing.

Here's what it looks like at Lake Street ground level.

Rob Fair had to install an shelf addition to support the rod which supports the west wing.
