Jordan came over today and stayed about 1 hour from 4:15-5:15pm
Jordan Osborn is looking over the Google Maps of Melrose Park Metra Station.
This is also the College Avenue stop, but we're going to model Melrose Park on the layout.

Jordan Osborn ran the commuter train around both Track 1 and Track 2 to check clearances on the signal bridges put in their new positions on the layout.

A look down Western Avenue.

We had a fun night tonight, but you can't really tell by this picture.
Don't believe everything you see.

I'm feeling a bit OCD on Melrose Park lately.
I took several Google Maps pictures and started laying out Melrose Park as you will see in the pictures below:
The Google Maps shows the Metra Mainline and S.19th Ave. crossing with Main Street on parallel.
The large building in the center is the Melrose Police Department.
On the layout you're looking down S. 19th Ave. with the Police Department on the right.
The Market building is across Main Street from the Police Department.
Opposite the Police Department are two small businesses which are highlighted in the next picture.

The Google Maps shows the two small business buildings across the street from the Police Department.
On the layout are two buildings which represent the two small business buildings, but I'm not so sure they will make the final cut.

This Google Map shows the Market on the right, and downtown buildings on the left.
I plan to purchase Walther's Cornerstone Series Merchant Row II to capture the essence of the buildings on the left.
So far, I believe they will be a good match.

More work on Melrose Park downtown.
Talk about OCD!!

Here's the prototype picture of the buildings across from the Melrose Park Police Station.

And here are the model winners for those two buildings across from the Melrose Park Police Station.
